These terms govern your use of Shark Skin Security's website, assessment, and membership. By using our services, you agree to them.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Let us know promptly of any unauthorized use.

Membership and billing

• Membership is offered on a subscription basis (monthly or annual) at the prices shown at sign-up. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable notice, effective at your next renewal.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the services — including attempting to disrupt them, access them without authorization, or use them for any unlawful purpose. The content we provide is for your personal use and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

Our service and your responsibility

Shark Skin provides tools, guidance, and monitoring to help reduce your security risk. We work diligently, but no security service can guarantee that a breach, loss, or attack will never occur. Our guidance does not replace your own judgment or professional, legal, or financial advice where appropriate.

Automated analysis tools (including Scam Check)

Some features — including Scam Check — use artificial intelligence to produce automated assessments of content you submit. These assessments are provided for informational purposes only. They may be inaccurate or incomplete in either direction: they may identify legitimate messages as suspicious, and they may fail to identify actual fraud. They are not financial, legal, investment, or professional advice, and they are not a guarantee, warranty, or instruction to act or refrain from acting. You are solely responsible for your decisions and transactions, including any decision to send money, share information, or respond to a communication, regardless of any assessment provided. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shark Skin is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on an automated assessment.

The services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shark Skin will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the services or other users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
